The Text Question type provides a textbox where candidates can write their answers. This question type is ideal for assessing written responses and requires candidates to articulate their thoughts clearly.
Adding a Text Question to an Assessment
To include a Text question in your assessment:

Navigate to the ‘Create’ tab in the assessment builder.

Select the Text Question type from the available options.
Writing Your Question and Adding Media
- In the provided textbox, write your question clearly and concisely.
- You can enhance the question by adding media, such as:

- Audio for the candidate to listen to.
- Images or screenshots (e.g., a screenshot of an email or website).
- Videos for the candidate to watch.
Additionally, you can use rich text editing features to format your question, including options like:
- Bullet points
- Numbering
- Indentation
- Bold, italics, and underline for emphasis'
Providing Correct Answer Samples
- Correct Answer Samples are essential for guiding the AI on what constitutes a good answer. These samples help train the AI to evaluate responses accurately.
- Write your correct answer in the way you would expect candidates to respond.
- Note: These are not scoring instructions but examples of ideal responses.
- You can add multiple correct answer samples to account for variations in valid responses.
Ensuring the Right Skill is Tested
- Ensure the correct skill is associated with this question.
- If you want to change the skill, click the dropdown box to select an alternative skill already included in the assessment.
- To add a new skill, go to the ‘Skill Groups’ section in the settings.
