There are two ways to create a fresh version of an assessment in Vervoe: duplicating or regenerating.
Duplicating an Assessment
To duplicate an assessment:
- Click on the three dots in the bottom-right corner of the assessment card.
- Select Duplicate.
A copy will appear in your dashboard with an updated title that includes a copy number. For example, a duplicated assessment might be titled "Content Writer - 1".
You can open the duplicated assessment to:
- Edit the questions
- Update settings
- Change skill groups
If you have previously graded candidate responses in the original assessment, any AI training models attached to questions will also be copied across. However, if you edit a question in the duplicated version, the AI training for that specific question will be deleted.
Regenerating an Assessment
Regenerating an assessment allows you to create a new version while keeping the same assessment URL (slug). This is helpful when you need to make changes but still want the application link or ATS connections to remain active.
When you regenerate an assessment:
- The original assessment is closed and moved to your Closed folder.
- Candidates who have not started or are mid-way through will no longer be able to complete the original version.
- A new assessment is created with all the same questions and settings.
- The URL remains unchanged, so links stay active.
Important:
- You cannot re-open a closed assessment.
- If you still want invited candidates to complete the assessment, you will need to re-invite them to the regenerated version.
- You can still access and review candidate results from the closed assessment at any time.
Finding Your Closed Assessments
Closed assessments can be found by navigating to the Assessments tab in your account and selecting the Closed folder. Here, you can review candidate results and access historical assessment information at any time.
