Overview of question setting options and what each setting means.
Question features
Skill assessed
The "Skill assessed" field allows you to enter the skill that the question is testing. This is filled out by default; you can update it if necessary. The skill that a question is allocated to helps to determine a candidate's score in the skill group when they submit their assessment.
To update the skill you will need to head to the 'assessment settings' on the top right-hand corner - and then to the skill groups.
In here, you can edit the name of the skills and change the grouping of questions.
Example of a correct answer
Example answers are a requirement to questions for text, audio, video responses. Suggested answers help the machine learning understand what a 'good' answer looks like so is imperative that this section is filled out. Your assessment will be invalid if your questions do not have example answers.
Read more about how machine learning here.
Scoring Instructions
If there are a number of stakeholders grading candidates and you require consistency or input into how the question should be graded, you can include team scoring instructions here.
Question Settings
Under this section, you can add a question timer, mark the question as required, include the question in the plagiarism checker, and/or exclude a question from AI grading or choose to manually grade the question.
Please note that if you are using timers, having required questions may prevent candidates from submitting a required answer if they run out of time.
We recommend enabling the' do not grade' option if you have a question that does not require grading (e.g., introductory video, instructional multiple-choice, or text questions) - "Do not include in grading" means the question cannot be graded at all.
"Manually grade" questions mean you will be required to grade the question for the candidate's overall assessment score to be released. You can read more about manually grded questions here.
You can preview your assessment any time, by clicking on the Preview button located on the top right.
