Welcome to Vervoe!
We’re excited to help you hire based on merit, not background—so you can find the right people for your team, every time.
This guide is designed to help you make the most of your free trial and get started quickly. Let’s dive in!
Step 1: Create the Right Assessment
Vervoe offers a library of free, expertly crafted assessments for a wide variety of roles and industries. These assessments are created by subject-matter experts and our behavioural science team to test the key skills needed for success in each role. They cover both technical skills (tools, techniques, and products) and soft skills (like communication, teamwork, attention to detail, etc.).
Each assessment features various question types—such as multiple choice, video, code challenges, spreadsheets, and presentations—to help candidates showcase their skills in real-world contexts.
Creating Assessments Using the Assessment Library
What if you don’t find the right assessment?
No problem! You can create your own with our easy-to-use builder. Just enter the role you’re hiring for, and the builder will suggest relevant skills and questions for you.

Step 2: Invite Your Team to Try Vervoe
Your free trial includes unlimited guest seats, so feel free to invite as many team members and stakeholders as needed. They can explore the assessments you create and follow along with candidates as they complete them.
Pro Tip: To get a feel for the platform and see Vervoe in action, ask your team (or yourself!) to take the assessment. You don’t need to upload complex documents—just answering a few questions is enough for the AI to start grading and show you how the process works.
You can invite team members via email, or share the quick link to the assessment with them directly.

Step 3: Review the Results
Once you’ve got a few completed assessments, head to the Select tab to see how each candidate performed. You’ll see an overall score for each candidate and a breakdown of their performance across each skill.
After 20 or more completions, top performers will be highlighted with a badge, showcasing their excellence in specific skills.
Want to focus on certain skills?
You can adjust the weighting of skills or questions using the Sort dropdown. When you do this, the scores for all candidates will be recalculated to reflect your changes, helping you focus on the most important attributes for your role.

Step 4: Select the Best Candidates
As you review candidates, shortlist your top picks for easier comparison and to move them through your hiring process. You can also reject candidates directly, triggering an instant email notification so they can move forward with their job search.
Once you find your perfect candidate, mark them as hired and track your hiring progress with Vervoe’s reporting and insights.
