You can test your candidate journey in two ways:
1. Send a Test to Yourself
To quickly preview the candidate experience without using an invite slot:
- Go to the Invite section of your assessment.
- Click Send a test to myself in the bottom-right corner.
This allows you to complete the full assessment as a candidate, just as they would see it.
2. Invite Yourself as a Candidate (for Multiple Tests)
If you want to test the experience more than once, use alias email addresses via the standard invite method.
Most email providers (like Gmail and Outlook) support aliases.
For example:
- Main email: hello@vervoe.com
- Alias: hello+test@vervoe.com
Emails sent to the alias will still go to your main inbox, but Vervoe will treat each one as a unique candidate. You can create as many aliases as needed by adding +alias before the @.
⚠️ Note: Using the standard invite method will count towards your completion cap.
What to Expect
Once you send the invite:
- You’ll receive a branded email just like a real candidate — including your company logo and colours.
- Click View Interview to get started.
- You’ll be prompted to create a candidate account and profile (this step is optional and can be skipped or completed later).
Troubleshooting
Issue: Received a 404 error when clicking "View Interview"
This usually means you're still logged into an existing candidate session. To fix:
Log out of your candidate account:
- Go to your candidate login page:
mycompany.vervoe.net/login
(replace mycompany with your actual account name). - Click your profile icon (top right), then select Log out.
- Try again:
-
Reopen the test email and click View Interview.
Or use one of these workarounds:
- Open the invite link in an incognito/private browser window.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies before trying again.
