Vervoe has several anti-cheating features in place to help employers identify potential cases of cheating. Candidates can be flagged when their text answers match another candidate's answer, or if their answer has been copied from web or ChatGPT.

Where can I find flagged candidates?
Plagiarism Detector:
This enhanced version of plagiarism includes ChatGPT and web-based content matching to determine if someone has copied the text from these external sources.
The feature uses the existing plagiarism flag with an additional note outlining the source of the original content eg. https://www.wikipedia.org/

Candidates: Similar Answers Detected:
The Plagiarism Detector compares the first 500 words of all candidate answers, to the same question, across the platform (which applies only to the text question/answer type). If the same answer is submitted from multiple candidates, the candidates with this answer will then be flagged. This can be detected across all languages submitted.
Please note, if the candidate reapplies (assessment is reset on the backend) or if their assessment deadline is extended, the plagiarism flags will be reset and removed.
The plagiarism detector needs to be turned on at the question level for questions that you wish to monitor.
If you expect candidates to have one standard answer and prefer not to mark this as plagiarism, you can toggle off this setting within the Question Settings on the question creation page. By default, this setting is turned OFF.

Once you click the ‘Review Answers’ link from the Plagiarism Banner, you'll be able to review the candidates with matching answer submissions:
Anti-cheating filters are also accessible in the Select list so it’s easy to see or hide those that have been flagged
What should I do now?
If you come across candidates that are flagged, it's ultimately your company's decision of which actions to now take. Some companies may choose to ask the candidates why their answers are the same, or you may choose to exclude the candidate if you feel (based on other aspects of the assessment) that it is likely that the candidate cheated. Whichever route you choose, Vervoe is here to help provide you with the data you need.
Unflagging candidates:
If you have determined a candidate has not cheated and would like to remove the flag, you can remove this on the candidate card:
Notes:
- Once you remove the flag it cannot be added again
- If the candidate does reappear at a later date it is possible that a candidate has been detected against another form of cheating.
- Candidates will only be flagged once per potential cheating method.
Please note: Candidate answers that are flagged as plagiarised and are manually graded by your team, will not contribute to AI grading. This means, that if you are optimizing your assessment and grade answers that have this alert raised, the data from grading will be excluded.
