Deadline by date allows users to close assessment applications automatically on a date selected. This will also enable joblinks to automatically disable once the selected date has passed, meaning candidates don’t spend time on assessments for roles that have already been filled. Keep reading to learn how to use this new feature.
How do you turn on Deadline by Date?
To utilize this feature, navigate to the Create tab of your assessment and select Assessment settings.
Under the "Settings' ' icon, navigate to "Set deadline" then toggle the button and set the deadline you want to allow for this skills assessment. This change will save automatically.
Managing Deadline by Date
Once you have selected a time and date option you will be presented with a picker to choose the exact deadline the assessment will close. The timezone displayed is a default based on your account level settings and cannot be edited on a per assessment basis at this stage.
By selecting a date deadline, the number of days feature will automatically disable, which means all candidates will have until the date selected to complete the assessment regardless of the time they were invited and you can still choose to set a time limit within which the assessment must be completed for each candidate. When the assessment deadline is reached the job links will automatically disable and new candidates will not be able to be invited to the assessment.
Candidate experience with Deadline by Date
The general flow and experience for a candidate remains the same. The candidate will see a “submission deadline” on their invite instead of “expire in X days”. Once a deadline date passes, all job links are disabled automatically and the candidate is not able to apply to the assessment.
The autoprogress feature connects one assessment to another so candidates that pass the assigned benchmark score in the first assessment automatically progress to the second assessment.
Deadline by date will be set in the last (or second assessment) which means the first assessment will not have a deadline. Your candidates will still be able to complete that assessment but if they pass and are auto-progressed to the next assessment where the deadline has passed they won't be able to complete it. You can set the deadline in both assessments if they wish or have candidates pass the first assessment but not be able to complete the second.
