Welcome to Vervoe! We’re here to help you hire based on merit not background, so you can find great people every single time.
This guide will help you get the most out of your free trial.
Step 1: Create the right assessment
We offer a library of free assessments across a broad selection of roles and industries. The assessments have been written by leading subject-matter experts and our own I/O psych team. Each one is made up of a series of questions based on the core skills required to be successful in the role. They test a range of skill types including technical and soft skills.
Technical skills are the products, tools, and techniques required to do the job.
Soft skills are things like communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Each assessment also has a variety of question types; these are things like multiple choice, video, code challenges, spreadsheets, and presentations. These help to immerse candidates in the role and let them showcase their talent by getting them to use the tools they would if they got the role.
If you can’t find an assessment in the library then you can create your own using the builder. Just add the title of the role you're hiring for and the builder will prompt you with relevant skills to test and questions to ask.

Step 2: Invite your colleagues to try Vervoe
Your free trial includes unlimited guest seats, so you can add as many team members and stakeholders as you like to your account to explore Vervoe. They’ll be able to see the assessment you create and follow along with the candidates completing it.
In order to see the true magic of Vervoe you’ll also need to get some completed assessments in your account. A great way to do this is to invite people in your team and yourself to take the assessment first. You don’t need to spend ages completing it by uploading correct documents just a few simple answers will be enough for the AI to start grading. You’ll also get to experience the assessment the way your candidates will. You’ll see what they see and get a feel for how the assessment works.
You can invite them via their email address, or you can just copy and share the assessment quick link with them.

Step 3: Review the results
Once you've had a few completions you’ll see the Select tab come to life. Each person will have an overall score you’ll be able to see how they performed for each of the skills in your assessment.
After 20 completions or more you’ll see top performers for each skill marked with a special badge to highlight their achievements.
You can also weigh the importance of skills or questions too by adding or removing them using the Sort dropdown. Doing this will also recalculate the scores of each candidate, so you can narrow in on the attributes that are most important to you.

Step 4: Select the best candidates
As you review candidates mark the ones you like for your shortlist. This makes it easier to compare their responses, share with colleagues and progress them in your hiring process.
At this stage, you can also notify unsuccessful candidates by marking them as rejected. They’ll be sent an email instantly, so they can continue their job search elsewhere.
Once you’ve found your ideal candidate mark them as hired and track your account statistics through reporting and insights.
