The score distribution in your Account Insights illustrates how scores vary across assessments within your account. A normally distributed score, shown by the green graph, indicates that most candidates score within the middle range, typically around 50-60%. This suggests that the assessment is well-balanced, effectively distinguishing between candidates based on their skills, while highlighting both high and low performers.
For entry-level assessments, you may observe a left-skewed distribution, with the majority of scores falling outside the green peak, typically around 60-70%. This is expected, as these assessments often feature easier questions. The graph will reflect this by showing a higher concentration of scores towards the upper range.
If your assessment distribution follows a normal distribution curve, it indicates that the assessment is performing well, effectively identifying low, middle, and high performers.
However, if your score ranges appear erratic, as shown in the graph below, it's a sign that you may need to optimise your assessments. Review the individual assessment insights to identify areas for improvement, such as adjusting the difficulty level by introducing more complex questions or reducing the number of multiple-choice questions if they dominate the assessment. This can help achieve a more balanced, effective distribution of scores.
