Deleting a candidate will completely remove their invitation and data from your account and is an action that cannot be undone.
Archiving candidates that have completed an assessment will remove them from the results page in "select" however, their information will still remain in your account and they can be 'unarchived'.
Bulk deleting candidates from Invite
Candidates with incomplete assessments can be deleted from the Invite tab of an assessment. Bulk deletion is available or candidates can be individually removed via the 3 dot menu or from the candidate card.
Only employers with Admin permission and editors to the assessment can delete candidates, Team viewers cannot delete candidates.
1. Select the candidates you would like to delete from the "Invite" tab
2. Select "delete" from the menu that appears
Delete an individual candidate:
To remove candidates individually, click into the candidate card and select from the 'three-dot-menu" 'delete candidate'
What candidates can be deleted?
Candidates with the following statuses can be removed:
- Applied
- Invited
- Expired: Not started/Incompleted/Started
- More time requested
- Rejected: Not started/Incompleted
- Failed Screening
- Passed Screening
Candidates In Progress with either screening or the assessment cannot be deleted. If they are selected as part of bulk deletion a notification will show alerting the user.
What happens to the candidate data?
If the candidate has been invited to only one assessment all data will be removed from the company and the candidate will disappear from the All Candidates page. If the candidate has been invited to multiple assessments then the candidate is removed from only the assessment they’re deleted in and will remain in All Candidates for the other assessment/s
A confirmation modal of the request is always shown and users must confirm the deletion.
Archiving candidates from Invite/Select
You can archive candidates from the Invite/ Select pages via the 3 dot menu or from the internal Candidate Report card (from Select + All candidates).
Archived candidates will remain in the assessment Statistics bar and Insights, counting but won’t be exported in CSV downloads or visible in any shortlist or the compare modal.
Locked candidates hidden by completion caps can also be archived/unarchived
Candidates with the following statuses can be archived
- COMPLETED (Scored/AI scored/Calculating AI score)
- Hired
- Rejected: Completed
To Archive from Select:
- Select the candidates you would like to archive in bulk
- Click the "archive" option that appears at the top of the Select Page
Where do Archived Candidates go?
Archived candidates will be moved to the Archive tab of Select. From here they can be unarchived which will add them back into the main select view and make them available on data exports.
