There are three key ways to create a skills assessment with Vervoe:
-
Use a pre-built library assessment
-
Create an assessment from scratch
-
Use the AI-assisted builder
This article will guide you through using the Vervoe Assessment Library, where you can share a pre-built assessment automatically with candidates, or find an assessment you like to tweak to your role.
Note: All library assessments are customisable.
Step 1: Access the Assessment Library
-
Log in to your Vervoe dashboard.
-
Click on the Assessment Library tab in your dashboard or click Browse Library.
Step 2: Explore the Library
-
Featured Assessments: View the featured assessments at the top of the page to see popular, high-quality tests.
-
Categories: Use the categories above the featured section to filter assessments by industry or skill. You can also use the search bar to search by:
-
Category (Industry/Field)
-
Assessment Title
-
Skill
-
Step 3: Review Assessment Ratings
-
Look for the star ratings on each assessment. These ratings are based on feedback from candidates who’ve completed the assessment before. Higher ratings generally indicate better candidate experiences.
Step 4: Preview Questions
-
Click on any assessment card to open its details.
-
Review the questions within the assessment to ensure they align with your needs.
Step 5: Add Assessment to Your Account
-
Once you’ve found an assessment you’d like to use, click Add to Assessments.
-
The assessment will be added to your assessment library, and the assessment editor will open automatically.
Step 6: Edit the Assessment (Optional)
-
Modify Questions: You can edit the existing questions or add new ones.
-
Create Skill Groups: You can also add or modify Skill Groups within the assessment.
-
Adjust Assessment Settings: Click the Settings button in the top-right corner to adjust additional settings, such as:
-
Customising the candidate experience
-
Setting time limits
-
Adding instructions or hints
-
Note: If you edit a question, ensure you provide a correct answer sample so the AI can calculate an accurate score for candidates.
Step 7: Save Individual Questions (Optional)
-
If you’d like to reuse specific questions from an expert-created assessment in a future test, you can save them to your account for easy access later.
-
To save a question, click Save to Account. You’ll find it in your saved questions when creating or editing an assessment.
Step 8: Finalise and Invite Candidates
-
Once your assessment is ready, click Save.
-
You’re now ready to invite candidates to complete the assessment!
